Zeta Kappa Alumni Board Meeting
Meeting Minutes of 02/22/17
- EC Steve Kelly at Marie Calendar’s Restaurant, Cedar and Shaw, 6:19 PM, called the Meeting of the ZK Alumni Board to order.
- Attending: EC Steve Kelly (ZK 363), LC Ron Manfredi (ZK 306), Recorder Bill Davies (ZK 353), Scholarship Chair Ken Peaslee, Treasurer Mike Golden (ZK 300) Social Chairman Felipe Arballo (ZK 705)
- Absent: Alumni Advisor Jonathan Martin (ZK 761)
- Visiting alumni: George Grim (ZK 578), Rod Rimmer (287)
- Collegiate Chapter Representative: Ismael Rivera (ZK 866)
- Treasurer:
- Report presented to board and accepted.
- Slight changes noted because of market increases.
- Dues ($50) are due July 1st or started anytime during the year by sending $$ monthly with anniversary date and can be mailed to Mike Golden at 2016 San Gabriel Ave., Clovis 93612-4149. Your support is appreciated. You can also pay online, $5/month or $50/year right here.
- Social:
- The next two tailgates are planned:
- Saturday, April 1st Bulldog Softball vs Nevada at 6:00 (tailgate starts at 3:00)
- Sunday, April 30th Bulldog Baseball game 1:05 (tailgate starts at 10:00. No charge for food that will be provide by Alumni Chapter along with non alcoholic beverages BYOB if so inclined and over 21. Map and more info to follow.
- Tickets to either game can be purchased for the games in block if you RSVP (Felipe Arballo felipearballo@yahoo.com) and let us know which games you are interested in attending.
- The next two tailgates are planned:
- Scholarship: Scholarship applications were distributed. The plan is to give 1 scholarship of $1500. Deadline to submit is March 22nd to be voted on at next meeting in April.
- Active Chapter: making great progress in all areas. They introduced 11 member pledge class out of 60 potential candidates from IFC rush pool for all fraternities. Bothers attending preference dinner report they were very impressed with the pledges. Actives are looking forward to a productive Spring semester.
- Old Business:
- Election of Officers: The following officers have been reelected: Steve Kelly EC, Ron Manfredi LC, Mike Golden Tres., Bill Davies Recorder, Ken Peaslee Scholarship Chaiman, Felipe Arballo Social Chairman.
- The Alumni Board would like to welcome newly elected Alumni Contact Officer George Grim (ZK 578).
- We would also like to thank outgoing Alumni Contact Officer Jonathon Martin (ZK 761) for his continuous and unwavering dedication service and support. He has been a valuable member of this board.
- New Business:
- The meeting dates for all future Board meeting will now take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month at a location to be named in the minutes.
- Next Board meeting: March 22nd at 6:00 p.m., Marie Calendar’s Cedar and Shaw.
