Zeta Kappa Alumni Board Meeting
Meeting Minutes of 09/24/17
- EC Steve Kelly at Marie Calendar’s Restaurant, Cedar and Shaw,
6:18 PM, called the Meeting of the ZK Alumni Board to order.- Attending: EC Steve Kelly (ZK 363, Recorder Bill Davies (ZK353), Scholarship Chairman Ken Peaslee (ZK 367), Collegiate Chapter Advisor George Grim (ZK 578) ), Treasurer Mike Golden (ZK 300), Greg Cronk (ZK 371). Collegiate Chapter Representative: Nicholas Tregembo (ZK 884)
- Absent: Social Chairman Felipe Arballo (ZK 705), LC Ron Manfredi (ZK 306),
- Social: Alumni social event planned Fourth Thursday at Shenanigans, Cedar and Herndon next event October 26, 5:30-6:45, no host. Brothers attending the opening day of the Fresno Fair horse races should contact George Grim or Felipe Arballo to coordinate times. There will be Homecoming Party at October 14th game with New Mexico. Location and details to be provided by email and Facebook posts.
- Scholarships: Scholarships for last Spring Semester will be distributed as follows: 1 at $500, 4 at $250. The Scholarship applications are to be submitted for review before the October 31 stand awarded at the December Meeting.
- Active Chapter: There were 5 new brothers initiated. August BBQ/Chapter officer retreat on August 26, held with all attending energized and committed to execute their duties.. Rental agreements are being negotiated with landlord. Rush Week was Sept. 19-24 th ; Preference Dinner was September 26 th with 8 new pledges attending 25 returning brothers, and 7 alumni in attendance.
- Old Business
- Anniversary celebration 150th year of Sigma Nu in 2019. It is time to get things working!
- Nominations were opened. The nominations will remain open until of the next meeting Oct.25 th and closed at the conclusion of this meeting. The elections will be held at the Dec, 7 th meeting. This meeting will combine the November and December meetings because of the holiday season. Board Member Nominations:

- Cheria Young addressed the board and chapter representative about the possibility chapter members serving as hosts for the St. Jude Dream House open house tours.
- Next Board meeting: October 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., Marie Calendar’s Cedar and Shaw. All alumni are invited.
