Zeta Kappa Board Meeting

Meeting Minutes of 3/23/2016

  1. EC Steve Kelly called the Meeting of the ZK Alumni Board to order at Marie Calendar’s Restaurant, Cedar and Shaw, 6:17 PM.
    1. Attending: EC Steve Kelly (ZK 363), LC Ron Manfredi (ZK306), Treasurer Mike Golden (ZK 300), Recorder Bill Davies (ZK 353), and Scholarship Chair Ken Peaslee (ZK 367). Social Chair position is vacant.
    2. Absent: Alumni Advisor Jonathan Martin (ZK 761), Felipe Arballo (ZK 705). Social
    3. Active Chapter no members attending: Spring Break
    4. Previous minutes from 2/24/16 were approved.
  2. Treasurers Report: Brother Mike Golden presented to board and accepted. Brief discussion had on membership.
  3. Social: Upcoming events to report at this time:
    1. ZK Tailgate at Bulldog Baseball Diamond Mike Golden reporting date set for April 3rd, game starts 11:00 A.M… The parking is on the lot on the East end of the stadium near the tailgate. Brother Felipe Arballo appointed Tailgate Event Chairman with budget not to exceed $200. In addition to the tailgate there will be 3 inning softball alumni-active game before the game. Watch the website for details on this event. Brothers Ron Manfredi and Mike Golden will be picking up the food.
    2. The 65th Anniversary dinner will be at the University Square Hotel, located across Shaw, from Fresno State Campus. The cost is $40 per person for dinner. There will be a bar for those who would like an adult beverage at a per drink rate. The event takes place May 21, 2016 and will be from 6-12 with dinner served at 6:30. Brother Steve Kelly will arrange for a speaker for the event.
  4. Scholarships: Scholarship Chair Brother Ken Peaslee has not received any 2016 scholarships applications from Chapter members.
  5. Next meeting: April 20, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., Marie Calendar’s at Cedar and Shaw. All alumni are invited. Please consider a board position.
  6. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM.
